ATLANTA – America's Best Franchising has named Sterling F. Stoudenmire, IV as the company's new president and CEO, effective immediately. The company said he succeeds Doug Collins, "who has chosen to pursue new opportunities." Atlanta-based America's Best Franchising operates more than 300 hotels primarily in the United States under five brands: Jameson Inns & Suites; 3 Palms Resorts; Country Hearth Inns & Suites; America's Best Inns & Suites; and Budgetel Inns & Suites.
Stoudenmire was most recently the CEO responsible for the turnaround of Island One Resorts, a timeshare company in Orlando with more than 50,000 owners and 1,500 units. Previously, he was an associate partner with global business consulting firm Accenture.
"We intend to revitalize the company and its value proposition for both owners and the traveling public by thoroughly and dramatically redefining, repositioning, and re-launching the America's Best Franchising brands," said Stoudenmire. The company stated that it regarded Stoudenmire as an innovative transformation executive who will aggressively change the brand into an industry leader for its segment. "We will move quickly and deliberately so we can reach our full potential," said Stoudenmire.
