Franchisee Loses Sex Discrimination Suit
Female Employees Claim "Glass Ceiling"
Two former employees of a multi-unit Taco Bell franchisee have been awarded $93,000 in a discrimination lawsuit. Tennessee-based Management Resources Company owns more than 80 Taco Bells.
The successful suit claimed a glass ceiling in which few of the store managers rose to higher levels. 60% of the franchise's store managers were women but only 15% of the higher positions were filled by female employees. [Read more]
