Pizza War Heats Up for Summer
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Blue MauMau) - In a summer of some new up and comers in the pizza market, Domino's Pizza is upping its offering to its customers with even more give-aways online. The Michigan-based pizza chain announced today that when customers order online, they can receive free online movie downloads for a month on Vongo, a broadband movie download service. Domino's has also added new play lists to its free MP3 music hub, Domino's dTracks, powered by FreshTracksMusic.com
"Today's on-demand generation is used to getting what they want when and where they want it," said Ken Calwell, Domino's chief marketing officer. "Now, in partnership with Vongo and FreshTracksMusic.com, Domino's is delivering free movies and music in addition to a great pizza deal that our customers love."
Meanwhile, other major chains are entering the $30 billion a year pizza industry. Subway and Panera Bread Company plan to heat up the competition by adding pizza-like items to their menu. And Dunkin' Donuts is currently testing pizza in select stores.
