Wendy's Hires Franchisee As COO

Wendy's International has hired a franchisee to the newly created position of chief operations officer. Dave Near comes with quite a legacy at Wendy's.

• He is the son of the former Chairman, CEO and President Jim Near at the hamburger chain
• Dave Near and his brother Jason operate 29 Wendy's restaurants in the Austin, Texas area.
• For the last two years, he was president of Wendy's Franchise Advisory Council

His resume shows a strong insider's knowledge to Wendy's restaurant operations, intimate understanding and leadership with its franchise network and a closeness with Wendy's officers.
