Domino's Pizza's Dough Rises
The Domino's delivery guy will be ringing more doorbells in more places every day. Domino's Pizza Inc. is aggressively expanding its presence across the globe, including its domestic delivery area. The Ann Arbor, Michigan based company boasts 8,124 stores and $5 billion in global sales (for those calculating, that means roughly $615k per store).
Domino's Chairman and Chief Executive David Brandon spoke that he is on a quest to lift same-store sales and to:
- open the 10,000th Domino's store
- reduce employee turnover, retaining more managers and being named one of the top 100 companies to work for
- build 800 more stores in the United States where Domino's lacks presence such as northern California and Chicago
Some analyst are definitely approving. Joseph Buckley of A Bear Stearns & Co forecasts a 3 percent to 4 percent increase in same-store sales in this year's third and fourth quarters. And that means more rising dough for Domino's head office.
