Fast Food Restaurants to Defy NY's Calorie Rule

McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's Are Not Changing Their Menu Boards

With just days to go until a New York City deadline that requires eateries to post calorie counts, the menu boards of fast-food restaurants remain unchanged. According to the Associated Press, the Big Three - McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's, are planning to defy the city's new rule that calories for menu items be posted by this Sunday.

The menu boards in Taco Bell and KFC restaurants were as yet unchanged.

The hope is that a New York Restaurant Association lawsuit in federal court will make the new regulation void. Also, the city won't begin fining violators until October.
