Allegra Print Network Seeks Colorado Conversions

The mature quick print market of which non-branded independents have particularly struggled is seeing an interesting development. Allegra Network LLC, one of the largest chains and brand names in print, is trying to expand its print shops around Denver. It is particularly keen in stepping out from other competitive print brands that have seen years of flat growth. Allegra's plans include gaining market share through converting independent print shops to Allegra franchises. This reduces competition, builds on existing success while helping leap frog its brand in a specific marketing hot zone , an area that has strong influence on the national consumer psyche.

Darryl Buchanan, vice president of franchise development for Allegra, said Denver "is a real key market for us." He also said Denver would be "a real opportunity" for the growth of its Conversion Print Center concept. The concept allows an entrepreneur to buy an existing independent print store and convert it into an Allegra Print & Imaging Center. Allegra said it will help prospective franchisees find and buy a printing business.
