Sona MedSpa Merges with Franchisee Ashbridge
Website Shows Ashbridge and Pitt in Leadership Positions
FRANKLIN, Tenn. (Blue MauMau) - Although telephone calls were not returned today by Byron Ashbridge or the corporate office of Sona MedSpa International, the franchisor website is reflecting the new leadership, and calling the sale a merger with its North Carolina franchisee company.
Byron Ashbridge and Joe Pitt, owners of five Sona centers in that state, will be sharing the CEO position, while Mr. Ashbridge will take on the president title and Mr. Pitt that of chairman.
In 2005, Mr. Pitt joined Mr. Ashbridge in the leadership of his company, and according to his bio, the two franchisee executives tripled its size. Prior to joining Sōna MedSpa, he held key positions in the private equity industry with Carousel Capital and Thomas H. Lee Company. Before entering the private equity arena, he had worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Morgan Stanley in New York and Hong Kong. Mr. Pitt holds a BS / BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
