ElizaJ to Exhibit at the International Franchise Expo in Washington DC
Cape Cod based franchisor ElizaJ will be exhibiting at the 17th Annual International Franchise Expo.
The expo will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, April 11-13, 2008.
ElizaJ, providers of fine self-contained restrooms for catered outdoor events, is currently offering franchises throughout the U.S. Eliza Kendall, founder of ElizaJ, along with Michael Lett, Director of Franchise Development, may be visited at expo booth # 206.
“The International Franchise Expo enables those who are considering a franchise to meet with representatives from the top franchise concepts at a variety of investment levels. We’re looking forward to the event as we will have a chance to meet with highly qualified prospects from 50 states and 80 countries,” noted Kendall.
According to Lett, “The ElizaJ franchise program is an ideal business opportunity for someone who is seeking additional income and looking to be their own boss, set their own hours and join the ranks of proud entrepreneurs. It’s a great business model and a turnkey operation.”
Having recently reintroduced their franchise offering with a lower cost structure and reduced fees, Kendall and Lett are concentrating on gaining a foothold in the major markets within the U.S. and potentially expanding beyond the U.S.
ElizaJ – Ahead with Class
The ElizaJ company was founded by Eliza Kendall, a former event planner with more than 17 years experience in the special event business. Focused entirely on high quality products and first-rate customer service, Kendall’s company is one of the largest providers of practical, elegant restrooms for outdoor events on the East Coast.
Key advantages of using deliverable restrooms include low cost, portability, water conservation and sanitation facilities where sewer and water are not conveniently available. ElizaJ provides quotes within 24-hours of request and courteous, prompt delivery of impeccable restrooms.
ElizaJ provides clients with affordable, top of the line deliverable restrooms suitable for even the swankiest event. The exterior of each unit/trailer is white or linen-white in color and interior, white with dark blue. The exterior of ElizaJ’s restroom may be decorated with lattice-work or Ficus trees and embellished with white lights which may be used on the ground. Yards of white tulle swags can be draped around the vent pipes. Each restroom contains mirrors, fresh cut flowers at the sinks; mats and wicker wastebaskets; designer soaps and lotions; name brand toilet and tissue paper and air fresheners.

This deal stinks
I saw ElizaJ at the Franchise show in DC this past weekend. She seems very nice.
But I have to say "Where is the beef?"
She doesn't even make the potties. What's to stop anyone else already in the business from doing the same thing.
She doesn't have national accounts.
There is no track record. (There are no zees).
I'm sorry she feels taken advantage of by her advisers. Any so called adviser that took money from her for this lame concept did in fact take advantage of her.
Franchise Feasibility Studies should not be a sales tool
Unlike most franchise development consultants, I use 'feasibility studies' as a means of helping prospective franchisors decide whether or not growth via franchising is a sensible path for all potential parties involved.
But, many a fine entrepreneur has been ripped-off for insane amounts of money by attorneys and consultants that have used phony feasibility studies as sales tools to make the business owner swoon over the idea of becoming a franchisor. They have one thing on their mind - FEES.
I've never existed in that atmosphere and never will for one reason only - money is not my incentive in life. After a fair and detailed feasibility study is completed between me and a prospective franchisor, I will be quick to say that the concept should 'not' be franchised if I have that inclination. On the other hand, I do not recommend that the concept 'should' be franchised even if I feel that it has potential. That is the entrepreneur's decision. I am merely a sounding board in the 'pre-launch' stage.
When it’s just money that drives decisions there is usually at least one bad one made between the parties.

"Nick Bibby" . . . what one wears when shaving to stop the flow of blood. What a dip.
I'd say it's more like -
What one wears to protect themselves from other forms of blood letting. Do you practice that ancient art 'courageous' Guest?
Sunlight is toxic to creeps, isn't it?

This Crap was In Franchise Times
In April's issue of Franchise Times Julie Bennett wrote an article about how the owner of ElizaJ, was taken to the cleaners ($100K) by a disreputable franchise attorney, but how she was saved by new advisers.
What a load of crap!
Your deal hasn't sold and probably won't sell! Why would anyone buy your deal anyway. It makes no sense.
You invested $100K in Launch 1, at least you sold one, "to a really nice guy, who didn't know how to run a business. I finally had to take back his territory," Hey wait a minute you are the franchisor you are supposed to teach him how to run the business. Aren't you?
Now Launch 2 (I assume another $100K)You have been on FranchiseHelp website as the featured franchise for six months or more, you went to the Franchise Expo South, you hired a franchise sales person, a pr firm, and now the IFE.
How many have you sold? None, zilch, nata,
I don't get what Julie Bennett sees in this story anyway.
There should be laws protecting franchisers
Seems liked ElizaJ flushed $200K down her own port o potty.
Poor franchiser!
There should be a law protecting franchisers from conniving attorney's and advisers.
Kind of reminds me of the joke:
Why are Attorney's and Advisers like laxatives?
They can irritate the crap out of you.
