Fitness Together Names Jervik New CEO

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (Blue MauMau) – Fitness Together Franchise Holdings, Inc. appointed Jeff Jervik to be president and CEO. He replaces founder, Rick Sikorski, who will become chairman of the board. Jervik is a seasoned franchise executive who joins the firm from his recent post as executive vice president of operations for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. He was also vice president of operations for Pizza Hut.

Jeff JervikWhen asked on what his first steps would be, Jervik replied, "I want us to be a world class franchisor that will work tirelessly to support the growth of our franchisees. The first few weeks I will be meeting with our franchisees to better understand their needs."

Fitness Together faces a softening economy in which fitness companies have found it more difficult to grow membership and revenue. "As we continue to see challenges in our economy, the competition for every consumer dollar will be fierce," Mr. Jervik told Blue MauMau. "The wellness industry, like all other business segments, will need to put an emphasis on quality and service to earn their share of the wellness services market."

A one-on-one personal training fitness franchise established in 1996, Fitness Together and its sister company, Elements Therapeutic Massage, have a combined franchise network of more than 500 locations.
