Dream Dinners CEO Responds to Latest Litigation
SNOHOMISH, Wash. (Blue MauMau) - Although Dream Dinners refused to respond to specific questions regarding the current litigation filed by franchisees Nicole and Eric Turner against the meal preparation franchise, CEO Darin Leonard did release the following statement this morning: ![]()
Dream Dinners is proud of the excellent relationship it enjoys with its 180 franchisees. We are the industry leader because they are hard-working, innovative and loyal. The current litigation involves less than 10% of our franchisees and we obviously cannot comment on the specifics of the allegations of a few disgruntled former franchisees. We look forward to vigorously defending against their allegations in a court of law and expect to prevail on the merits.
As reported yesterday on Blue MauMau, the amended complaint filed by Attorney Howard E. Bundy alleges that Dream Dinners and its outside counsel induced his clients into signing the franchise agreement and other documents by presenting unauthorized earnings information that did not comply with the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular Guidelines as required by the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act.
Bundy also alleged that the franchisor did not have the infrastructure and personnel in place to deliver on the promises it made to prospective franchisees, and that the disclosure documents prepared by Dream Dinners attorneys gave false, incomplete or misleading information which his clients relied upon when making their decision to invest in a franchise.

How can 10% of Dream Dinners' franchisees be dismissed? How many franchisees are not quite angry enough to go through the expense of taking their franchisor to court? Such numbers are an outward sign of a rotting apple while an aloof leadership replies:
