Raising Canes Signs Lease for Dallas Restaurant Support Office
BATON ROUGE, La. – (Nov. 6, 2008) – Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers®, one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the U.S., has signed a lease to open its Dallas Restaurant Support Office at Legacy Business Park at 5800 Tennyson Parkway in Plano.
The space includes more than 24,000-square feet where an estimated 70 “crew members” will be employed.
“We’re extremely excited to be expanding our reach and influence to a new office in Plano,” said Clay Dover, president of Raising Cane’s. “The city and its resources offer the perfect backdrop and a fantastic culture to help us grow our brand to the next level.”
The Dallas Restaurant Support Office was created to support the launch of an aggressive expansion campaign for the restaurant chain. That will include additional restaurant locations in the immediate region. The Plano site selection across from the Shops at Legacy was chosen to take advantage of its central location, providing easier access to leading U.S. food-service companies and the area’s strong talent pool.
Staffing for the Dallas Restaurant Support Office will include a mix of employees relocating from Baton Rouge and others to be hired locally. Additionally, the company has started accepting resumes from interested job applicants in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at raisingcanes@selfopportunity.com.
Raising Cane’s was founded in 1996 by Todd Graves and has been headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., for the past 12 years. Today the company has more than 75 locations in 13 states and aggressive expansion plans.
The Baton Rouge Restaurant Support Office will serve as a model for the Dallas operation. While most of the corporate functions will be transferred to the Dallas office, the Baton Rouge office will continue to support operations for 53 restaurants in Louisiana with seven more to open in the state this year.
