Berecz Named Executive Director for Independent Association of Subway Franchisees
Illya Berecz has been appointed as the Executive Director for the North America Association of Subway Franchisees. Ms. Berecz helped lead the organization after its former CEO, Jim Hansen, left in March. She officially was named the organization's executive director mid-November. In that position she now heads up the independent association of Subway Franchisees, including its staff. The independent association of franchisees services the interests of some 5,600 franchise owning members that operate some 15,200 Subway restaurants.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to put my 21 years of experience within the Subway family to work on behalf of the franchisees in North America. It is vital for Franchisees to have a dedicated association that represents them both within and outside of the Subway arena,” Berecz said.
Ms. Berecz states that her focus is to have NAASF provide Subway franchisees with the tools they need to run profitable restaurants. The executive director declared, "It is our goal to aid the franchisee community by providing services, information and education all geared toward helping Subway franchisees be successful entrepreneurs. We aim to accomplish this by working with the other entities within the Subway family -- working as one team to enhance the Subway brand."
