President Visits Five Guys Burger
WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Barack Obama during lunch today brought attention to Five Guys Burger and Fries, a national gourmet burger chain of some 400 plus franchised restaurants. The chain is well known in the area, having been ranked by Washingtonian Magazine's "Readers' Choice" as the number one burger since 1999.
President Obama can be heard ordering lettuce, tomato, jalapeno peppers and mustard. He also ordered a cheese burger for NBC news anchor Brian Williams. Williams is filming a special with President Obama that will begin airing next week Tuesday on NBC's evening news.
Five Guys was featured last week in Nation's Restaurant News as one of the top twenty restaurant chains that has shown leadership in bucking the softening economy.
Earlier in the month he visited a local burger restaurant with Vice President Joe Biden.

NBC: President Obama allows Brian Williams to ride along in his presidential limousine to "Five Guys." This video is from the NBC cameras. It is quite the event when the president does what the rest of us take for granted, walking into a burger joint and ordering.
Williams observes in this clip that a presidential trip to Five Guys helps create nationwide buzz for the quick growing chain of 400 plus gourmet hamburger restaurants.
