Australian Refund Home Loans Passes 300 Franchise Mark

Australia -  Just 67 months since taking the mortgage broking industry by surprise with its promise to refund its customers a share of its commissions, Refund Home Loans (Refund) has confirmed the appointment of its 300th Franchisee.

Refund Founder and Executive Chairman who created the business model of the promise of a real cash refund for every loan taken out with the company and the concept of marketing only through the company’s national network of work-from-home franchisees, said the growing number of applications received by the company for franchisees was a reflection of its acceptance in the market.

“300 franchisees represents an increase of 163% over the 114 two years prior and the numbers will continue to grow as an increasing number of customers understand the advantages of dealing with a mortgage broker who shares his commission with his customers which represents a real stand out in today’s market,” he said.

Refund was not affected by the recent financial turbulence, with Refund’s product proving increasingly popular in the tighter economic environment as homebuyers responded positively to the opportunity to gain a saving on the purchase of their home. With Refund’s loan volumes continuing their annual incremental growth, the company has exceeded $5 million in total refunds to its customers since commencing business.

Refund’s consistent achievement in industry surveys and awards is a significant endorsement of its operational performance. Just last week Refund was listed at number 27 in BRW magazine’s 2009 “Fast 100” survey, its third listing in the survey in successive years.

In January 2009 Refund added to its performance credentials when it topped the rating for “Fastest-Growing Franchises by Revenue” in the prestigious BRW annual survey.  This was the second successive year Refund had achieved a highest rating in the BRW survey, having topped the “Fastest-Growing by Outlet” category in the 2008 survey

However Wayne Ormond insists that the company will continue its strategy of adding professional and qualified synergistic services alongside its mortgage broking service in order to provide further and related benefits to homebuyers. In 2008 Property and General Insurance were added and in August 2009 Ormond announced an alliance with the largest financial planning group in Australia, Professional Investment Services (PIS), under which Refund Finance Advisory Service adds PIS’s financial planning products to their existing home mortgage products in marketing to their customers.

“We have come a long way in a little over five years in what is a very competitive market and we do not intend to relax our efforts in the next five years,” said Wayne Ormond
