Red Mango To Host Franchise Event Sept 28 for Expansion in Houston

Fast-growing yogurt and smoothies retailer plans to award multiple locations.

DALLAS – (Sept. 13, 2009) – Red Mango, the fastest-growing retailer of all-natural nonfat frozen yogurt and fresh fruit smoothies, has announced plans to expand the chain in Houston with a special Local Market Franchise Event to be hosted in the city on Sept. 28.

“With our headquarters in Texas and the quick entry of our stores in Houston, people have fallen in love with our food and our atmosphere,” said James Franks, vice president of franchising for Red Mango. “The demand for more locations has been incredible.”

The company, which has reached 75 stores in 25 states in three years, was named #4 on Restaurant Business magazine’s “Future 50” list this summer of fastest-growing chains. Red Mango credits the achievement to consumers who want healthier food options as well as business owners who want successful investment opportunities. And Houston is about to get more of both.

With a store in Houston, a store in The Woodlands, and two more locations in development for the region, Red Mango plans to award three more locations in the greater Houston market before the end of the year.
