McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade Cheers Millions

CHICAGO – Thousands lined up on State Street to watch Chicago’s annual McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade on November 25. Franchisor and restaurant operator McDonald's Corporation (NYSE:MCD) purchased the sponsor rights in 2006. Each year more than a hundred organizations walk down the parade route presenting giant inflatables, marching bands, equistrians and floats. Various local stations aired the highlights of the parade on Thursday's nightly news and Chicago-based cable station WGN-TV broadcast the parade live nationwide.
