Church's Chicken Franchisee Acquires Shoney's Restaurant Chain

The largest Church's Chicken franchisee with 112 restaurants, Royal Hospitality Corp will acquire the Shoney's Restaurants chain of 282 units in 18 states for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition of the 52 company-owned Shoney's restaurants should be completed by the end of January. The restaurants will continue to be called Shoney's, and the chain's headquarters will remain in Nashville, Tennesee. [via AFX]
