Taco Bell Gives Friends Free Taco
IRVINE, Calif. — Taco Bell launched a free taco offer on its Facebook page today to try to counter the negative fallout of a lawsuit saying there is little beef in the taco filling.Visitors of who click that they like the Taco Bell page will be able to access a coupon for a free Crunchy Seasoned Beef Taco coupon to print.
“Throughout the beef class action lawsuit, the response and enthusiasm from our Facebook community has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Greg Creed, Chief Executive Officer, Taco Bell. “We found it only fitting to reward these 5.4 million fans and a friend with a free taco. It’s our way of saying thanks for their loyalty and support.”
The offer is limited to the first 10 million downloaded coupons that is redeemable in nearly 5,600 U.S. restaurants. The quick service restaurant launched a blitz of advertisements and social media postings nationwide to say that there is more than 80% beef in their taco meat filling.
