ACCC & FCA Resort Get-Together

"The event, Franchising Seminar: Invest Wisely - Know the Rules will be held at the Darwin Airport Resort in the Northern Territory and will include presentations by the ACCC Small Business and Outreach Manager Inta Tumuls and Steven Wright, Executive Director of Franchising Council of Australia (FCA)."

ACCC & FCA to partyAustralian Competition and Consumer Commission partnering up with Franchisor Council of Australia are to hold a seminar in Darwin of all places.  It would seem that the ACCC are pre-empting a ‘nothing' outcome from the Franchising Inquiry as this timing indicates ‘deal done' yet again.

This sound more like a ‘rubbing shoulders' event for the FCA to further cajole their ACCC friends.   It should be anticipated, and no doubt is; that this will lead into an expensive weekend for FCA.  But why didn't they invite Emerson? Has he played out his role?

But what I really want to know is why I wasn't invited to speak?  I could do with some pampering.  Perhaps FCA overestimate my corruptibility?
