Baby Abandoned at Burger King
The times have changed. Back in the day, parents would tell misbehaving children that they would be abandoned at the circus. Recent years have seen a spate of children abandoned at various Wal-Mart stores in the US and Canada.
Franchisees have not had to deal with the phenomenon; a report of baby abandonment at Domino's turned out to be an absent-minded father.
But now that tradition is being overturned. The NY Post reports that 27 year-old Kimberly Burndige left her 4-month-old daughter at a Burger King near Kennedy Airport. Both the mother and father, 20- year-old Westley Kendall, were arrested on charges of child endangerment.
It was not immediately clear whether the baby will be adopted by the Burger King, which would place her in line for succession to the throne.
