Nov. 19 2007 issue of Newsweek reports that former Congressman and leather fetishist Gary Condit opened 2 Baskin Robbins stores after leaving Congress. Alas, he objected to a rise in the price of ice cream and stopped paying his franchise fees, so Baskin Robbins terminated him.
This is a classic example of a franchisee who picked a franchisor that was not a good fit. If Rep. Condit had done his research on Blue MauMau, he would have known that Adam & Eve was the franchise for him-- a good fit, even without the talcum powder.
