Little Caesars Vet Program

There are a lot of franchises that offer incentives for military veterans. But none are more enticing than Little Caesars. Robbie Doughty lost both his legs in Iraq and fought through his disabilities to become a franchise operator. The Little Caesars Veteran Program, which has signed nine vets, offers honorably discharged veterans a $5,000 reduction of the franchising fee, financing benefits and a $5,000 credit on the equipment order for the first store. Service-disabled veterans like Doughty get the franchising fee ($20,000) waived, additional financing options and benefits, a $10,000 credit on the initial equipment order and grand opening marketing support from leading national companies.

Raving Brands Founder Speaks Out

Raving Brands founder Martin Sprock finally talks. There's been several stories about his Raving Brands' legal troubles at QSRmagazine.com, and RB typically doesn't comment. It's beyond me why none of the other restaurant trades have picked up on this story, but QSR has done a great job in bringing this to everybody's attention. Considering Sprock has been individually named in almost all of Moe's lawsuits, I doubt his lawyers are very happy with this interview.
