Ebay Stores Closing

It is unfortunate that eBay stores continue to close.

We were actually discussing our kiosks with one of the largest chains that is in trouble in order to help their franchisees regain profitability. We offered to set their stores up as GP kiosk locations but when two CEO's get together and one of them is in a failing position it can rapidly turn into a battle of the egos.

We wanted was to bring our system to his struggling franchisees in order to save their businesses but I can only guess he saw it as a slap in the face that he couldn't save them himself so he refused to offer the save to his franchisees and talks just broke down.

While the eBay ideas was a good concept, I don't think anyone actually ran the numbers neccesary to be profitable prior to selling franchises. We actually looked atthe possibility of franchsing an ebay model alonside GP but when we did the calculations we decided it was fairer to add it to our existing service line up.

Our GP franchisees offer ebay on the side to help boost their shipping volume and have great success, but trying to cover $10k a month in overhead purely selling ebay, I always saw as a difficult proposition.

Goin’ Postal Expands Its Flat Rate Royalty Program.

Goin' Postal Franchise Corporation has become the fastest growing shipping store franchise in the nation, thanks in part to its innovative flat rate royalty system. Goin’ Postal Franchise Corporation charges its franchisees a flat rate of $200 per month, instead of the industry standard percentage system that can easily add up to thousands of dollars a month in a successful unit. Goin’ Postal will issue store#300 this week after only three years of franchising.

People ask how Goin' Postal Franchise Corporation can operate on its flat rate royalty system, and GPFC explains it as “most franchisees need a lot of training, help and support when they first open, which is where the initial franchise fee comes in, but as that franchisee matures, in three to six months they should have the business down pretty well and don’t need much support. At that point no-one can justify charging them thousands of dollars a month for maybe one hour of support each week.”

With GPFC’s goal to change the franchise industry for the benefit of the franchisee, they have been negotiating with several large franchise chains to create alliances, and the first operational franchise to agree to change to a flat rate royalty is Caboodle Cartridge.
