Boroian’s Release Date Pushed Back

Release Date Postponed by Over a Month

DULUTH, Minn. (Blue MauMau) - Although Donald Boroian’s projected release date has been reported as June 9, 2007 for the last two months, it suddenly changed yesterday to July 13, 2007. He has been serving a one-year, one-day sentence for tax evasion since July 27, 2006.  As reported in a previous article, the Duluth Federal Prison Camp in Minnesota has been conducting an investigation into claims that Boroian has been managing his Francorp business affairs from behind bars, which landed him in solitary confinement after his cell was “tossed.” Sources close to Francorp have stated that in addition to making phone calls on a regular basis to staff and clients, he has also instructed employees to disguise mail and documents to prevent prison mail screeners from identifying them as related to business. According to the Bureau of Prisons’ policy, federal inmates are not allowed to conduct business while imprisoned.

Prison officials have not responded to emails asking for comment on the recent investigation nor on the change of his release date.
