Boroian’s Release Date Pushed Back
Release Date Postponed by Over a Month
DULUTH, Minn. (Blue MauMau) - Although Donald Boroian’s projected release date has been reported as June 9, 2007 for the last two months, it suddenly changed yesterday to July 13, 2007. He has been serving a one-year, one-day sentence for tax evasion since July 27, 2006. As reported in a previous article, the Duluth Federal Prison Camp in Minnesota has been conducting an investigation into claims that Boroian has been managing his Francorp business affairs from behind bars, which landed him in solitary confinement after his cell was “tossed.” Sources close to Francorp have stated that in addition to making phone calls on a regular basis to staff and clients, he has also instructed employees to disguise mail and documents to prevent prison mail screeners from identifying them as related to business. According to the Bureau of Prisons’ policy, federal inmates are not allowed to conduct business while imprisoned.
Prison officials have not responded to emails asking for comment on the recent investigation nor on the change of his release date.

do you guys know this fella or is this just sport?
He sounds like a real winner. I know somebody who "works" for him. They're eagerly awaiting his return from the slammer. My guess it that everybody's polishing up their resumes.
Don Boroian Called Me Via SatPhone
Had a nice chat with my good friend Don Borian last night via his Satellite phone. Amazing clarity, even though he was in the hole and I was on the water off St. Bart's. Just as I thought, he confirmed that he asked for solitary confinement so he could catch up on all the proposals he's writing, and he requested an extension because of all the business he's writing there in Duluth. Seems Don has found himself right in the middle of a captive population of future franchisors.
Business is so good there, Don said he thought about assaulting a guard to get an extra year. I suggested he just frame one or two of his "franchise analysts," send them away and let THEM work the leads. He LOVED that idea.
See you on the veranda!

Cell "Tossing"?
I'm assuming that's not a new sport. Does that mean he had a cell phone that was taken from him?
