Bruegger's Grows Chain Through New Acquisitions

Buys Triangle Bagels and Bagel Factory

Bruegger's Enterprises, Inc. has acquired franchisee Triangle Bagels, Inc. of North Carolina and competitor Bagel Factory of Pennsylvania. Triangle Bagels has 14 of Bruegger's 32 stores in the Tar Heel state. The five Bagel Factory locations, will be added to Bruegger's 18 existing stores in Pennsylvania.

The acquisition now brings Bruegger's to a national presence of 274 stores in 22 states.

Bruegger’s is an affiliated portfolio company of Sun Capital Partners, Inc., a private investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts and investments. Sun Capital's Vice President, Aaron Wolfe, said of the acquisitions, “The addition of Bagel Factory and the Triangle franchisee augments the reach of Bruegger’s operating platform and strengthens its value proposition.
