You could always ask a franchiser's salesperson for a free UFOC or pay $250 for one if you don't want to see a salesperson; but why do that when you can download it for free if the franchiser sells franchise concepts in the state of California. Just enter the name of the franchise concept in the Cal-Easi database.

3. TESS: Trademark Electronic Search System. Does the franchise brand that you are looking at have a registered trademark or does the franchisee risk losing and then having to invest again to rebuild the brand?

4. Franchises Ranked. Lots of organizations rank franchises. If someone lists them, we link to it. We are not proud. And if no one dares publish it, we publish it ourselves so that our readers will be in the know.
