Chem-Dry Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

ChemDry trends

I'm considering buying a multi-unit ChemDry franchise from an someone of retirement age. Their sales have been sliding downhill. I "assume" that it is because they have reduced their advertising budget and generally losing focus as they spend less and less time in the business. I am concerned that there is some larger trend going on in this franchise and/or industry that threatens the viability of this company. Does anyone have any feedback regarding the ChemDry franchise and the carpet cleaning industry in general?

UFOC ChemDry

Have you looked at their  UFOC yet?  Be a good time to ask some questions here based on your review of the disclosure.  Or have you made up your mind already?

Florence Bolter / Chem-Dry

For those of the ranting persuasion, here's your chance:

Bolter v. Superior Court , 87 Cal App 4th, 900 (2001)

I think that Harris Research sold the Chem-Dry franchisor, but it is still an interesting exception which proves the rule.
