Don't people do due diligence?
I have read (on www.bluemaumau.org and elsewhere) about a new, overtly one-sided franchise agreement, the franchiser making special deals with Hess and Sara Lee, possible franchiser racial discrimination, and now nonexistent relations with their franchisee's association. The franchisees didn't change their board because for no reason! Either they were frustrated or in fear. When will Dunkin' management figure out that they need to work with their franchisees, not against them? Given their recent record, I am amazed Dunkin' can sell new franchises. Don't people do due diligence? Then again, perhaps P.T. Barnum really was right in saying "there's a sucker born every minute."
