Convict Captured At Salt Lake City Arby's Shoot-Out
Can you imagine this ugly cuss running into your franchise shooting at your employees? What should you and your employees do? (Quick, look at your operations manual for the answer.)
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - An imprisoned 27-year old white supremacist, Curtis Allgier, shot a corrections officer in the head while getting treatment at the University of Utah hospital. He grabbed the officer's gun, killed him, then freed himself of his restraints. After carjacking an SUV, a wild car chase ensued at bursts of over 100 mph.
The pursuit ended at a local Arby's.
Inside the fast-food restaurant, Allgier made a single shot at the police outside. An officer responded by shooting in. Nobody was hit. The convict raised the pistol in the air and had all lie on the ground. But seizing a moment, two employees wrestled with the fugitive.
The fugitive pointed the gun at the head of one of the employees who grabbed him and shot. And miracle of miracles, the gun malfunctioned and did not fire. Fortunately, Allgier was subdued, then dragged out and arrested.
Salt Lake County District Attorney Lohra Miller said she is considering a charge of capital murder.
