Cuppy's Franchisees Say Conned Out of $168k

Former shop owners of Cuppy’s Coffee, Rickey and Alicia Benefield, tell Carroll county’s Times-Georgian that they were conned out of $168,000 by the franchising firm. They say they received no construction build-out or equipment for their funds.
“I’m going to do everything in my power to send [Nabors] to jail,” Alicia Benefield said. “It’s that important.”
Hell hath no fury like a franchisee who feels they’ve been conned.
