The problem with bad franchising is that when it is bad, it is really bad. At its worst, a franchise network spreads a bad model and practices like a virus. It has a multiplier effect with not just failure for the franchisor, but catastrophe for the numerous franchises in a chain. 

Some of the most respected franchise systems in Australia did not rate in this 10 Thousand Feet franchisee satisfaction survey. At least one of Australia’s most criticized franchise systems did.
