Pay Less for Franchising Companies

Mad Money's investment guru and founder of The Street, Jim Cramer, says: "Generally, we pay less for companies that rely on franchises to drive growth because franchising can really limit your upside."

Quiznos Makes Top Five Shrinking Chains

Although Quiznos made the annual QSR 50 list of top-grossing quick-service restaurants in the country, the Denver-based sub sandwich shop had the largest decrease in total units of any chain named. 

TV Series Winner Closes New Restaurants

After just one month in business Jamawn Woods, the "winner" of the NBC TV reality series America's Next Great Restaurant, which launched in March, closed down two of his three brand-new Soul Daddy locations. 

Chipotle Targeted in Illegal Alien Crackdown

Chipotle, which has around 1,100 locations in the U.S., all company-owned, is the focus of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) investigations into the immigration status of the chain's workers.
