Environmental Biotech Sold to British Franchisee

SARASOTA, Fla.- Environmental Biotech, a franchise chain that serves grease-eating bacteria and urine-eating enzymes to unclog restaurant drains, has been eaten in turn by its franchisee in Britain for an undisclosed amount.

The new owner plans to drive international development up, better tap into food industry trends toward environmental-friendly solutions, and convert its fleet of trucks to run on biodiesel made from grease collected from restaurants.

The head office will be in both Essex, England and Sarasota, Florida. The urine-eating enzyme business, Urine-Off, is not part of the purchase. [Read more]
