A person or entity that is granted a specific license, a franchise license, as to market a company's goods or services or conduct a business in the franchisor's name. A franchisee is typically a franchise owner who runs a franchise unit in a specific geography.
Becoming a franchisee with a solid franchisor can take a lot of the guess work out of running a business and leverage the buying power of the larger system.
