Franchisees Score Express Oil High
LINCOLN, Neb. — CEO Jeff Johnson of Franchise Research Institute, a researcher and administrator of franchisee satisfaction surveys, declares that Express Oil Change's owner-operators are some of the most satisfied among surveyed franchise systems in 2010.
Three-quarters of the franchisees associated with Birmingham-based Express Oil Change, a franchisor of 170 quick lube locations in 10 southern states, anonymously participated in the annual survey. The survey asks how satisfied franchisees are with the chain and where it could improve. Johnson says that 100 percent of the participants gave a positive grade to Express Oil Change and Service Center's initial training. He also revealed that 96 percent of the brand's franchisees agreed with the statement, "My franchisor and I are committed to a long positive, long term relationship"
The researcher explains in a video why franchisee satisfaction surveys are important in selecting a franchise investment and where Express Oil Change scored well in 2010.

"For the past seven years Express Oil Change and Service Center has turned to the Institute to conduct annual surveys of their franchisees to obtain honest feedback about their franchise system," said Johnson.
Regarding the statistical sample group reflecting the full franchisee population in the chain, Johnson declares, "We contact every franchisee. This is crucial that franchisees who have signed a franchise agreement have an opportunity to participate in the survey. In Express Oil Change's case, we completed surveys with 25 out of a total of 33 franchisees or 75.8% with a maximum error range of ± 5.9% at the 95% confidence level."
