Franchisor Education Research
International consulting firm Corven Consulting has begun Australian research into the franchising educational needs for franchisors. Many industry experts would suggest this is long overdue everywhere there is franchising.
This comes off the back of criticism of the franchising sector by the head of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Rod Sims. In many ways the preparedness of franchisors to franchising is similarly lacking to the vast majority of franchisees
Typically franchisors enter franchising with some assistance to develop a franchise marketing strategy, a franchise model evolving from a franchisor profit expectation but with very little knowledge of the pitfalls they may encounter.
With so much focus on pre-entry education for franchisees and their ongoing training needs, we feel it's right to flip the conversation and equally talk about the same requirements for franchisors. Julia Camm, Corven Consulting
