Franchisor Radio Shack Posts Profits

Good news for Radio Shack. Despite slumping sales, slashing expenses had the franchisor posting profits facing stiff competition from Best Buy and Target. One thing it has that the competitor chains don’t – franchises.

The system had a one time benefit of selling oodles of analog to digital television converter boxes this time around as the country went purely digital in June.
