Hundreds of franchisors met with potential franchisees April 9-11 at the International Franchise Expo in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to discuss their concepts and prepare for expansions in the region. One of the franchisors keen on the Washington area is Tasti D-Lite, a New-York based chain of ice cream stores that debuted in 1987 and gained a following among celebrities because of its low-calorie content.
