Remember U.S. Representative Gary Condit and Sandra Levy? He's made the news again. In the case of Baskin-Robbins Inc. v Gary Condit et. al, former Representative and franchisee Gary Condit was a no-show. The judge instead advised his son Chad, "If you think Baskin-Robbins have expensive prices for their ice cream, you wait until you start paying somebody else's attorney fees, Mr. Condit," says the judge. He then adds, "And you're going to find out what it is."

The court ended up awarding Baskin-Robbins over $100k for unpaid franchise and advertising fees as well as compensate the firm for attorney fees. (Court transcript now unsealed and available. pdf, 142 pgs)
