Gunman Enters LA Fitness, Kills Three, Then Committs Suicide

Collier, PA - George Sodini of Scott Township, PA. walked into a LA Fitness Club Tuesday night and killed three women and wounded nine others. One of the women was reportly his ex-girlfriend. After killing the women he turned the gun on himself.

Sodini, 48, exposed his plans blogging online to do this twice before, but "chickened out."

During this horrific event women scattered all over the room and others ran outside.  The instructor was not one of the dead.  There were 100 people inside the facilities at the time of the shooting.

LA Fitness released the following statement about the shootings:

"Each of us in th LA Fitness family are shocked and saddened by the senseless acts of violence that took place at Bridgeville Club in Pittsburgh this evening.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and friends.  We are working with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation."

LA Fitness Clubs are corporate owned but it has juice bars in its facilities franchised by Kahala Corp.
