Healthful NakedPizza Inks 50-Unit Agreement for South Florida

NakedPizza, which presently has only one unit, according to Nation’s Restaurant News, has agreed to a 50-unit package for South Florida, in addition to its mid-2009 agreement with Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner, for area developer rights for the state of Texas.

The deal is with Florida NKP LLC, which is said to be led by an international team of multi-unit foodservice veterans.

NakedPizza co-founder and CEO Randy Crochet states about the deal, “All money is not the same. The folks we’re talking to have considerable resources, but we only partner with people who embrace our mission.”

That mission is “ . . . to make an unhealthy and popular fast food healthy, raising consciousness about nutrition, health and the food supply, as well as the social impact and obligations of modern business.”

Jeff Leach, the other  co-founder, is on record as declaring, "We view ourselves as a social media marketing company that happens to sell pizza. We're trying to create the world's largest grassroots health organization though this (outfit)."

Robbie Vitrano, chairman of Trumpet Ventures and the chief brand designer for NakedPizza, echoes the co-founders as he states, “The ultimate mission is to change the nutritional profile of fast food.”

The stores are carry-out and delivery only.
