How McDonald's Changes Around the World

What makes a brand, well, a brand? Nothing challenges unsaid brand assumptions than when a franchise is international.

Should the franchise have American signage and layout or non-English? Should America's often bright neon signage that screams "look at me" be used in say, England? And how much should a franchise chain that craves standardization localize its menu?
