Donald Trump is not necessarily the easiest person to agree with. But whatever you think of this tycoon, it is certainly not hard to understand his point of view on how to build a successful business. The video below shows leadership lessons from the Apprentice, Season 4, followed by an easy guess on how Trump might apply them as a franchisee.

1. Inspire: Make your franchisor respect you. Have fun with your employees.
2. Watch the franchisor you are doing business with because there have been some absolutely horrific stories.
3. A franchise business is all about money. Money is a score card.
4. Push your franchisor and your team as far as you can.
5. Get to the point. Don't waste time.
6. A disloyal franchisor, fellow franchisee or employee can destroy a business. Nothing is worse than disloyalty.
