It’s A Good Franchise

Twilight Zone's It's a Good Life
"You're a bad man," says franchisor Anthony Fremont. photo/wikipedia

Let me introduce you to one of the Franchise Zone's special citizens, little franchisor Anthony Fremont, age 6, who lives at the pinnacle of a community called Peaksville in a place that used to be Ohio. (Video starts automatically.)

This monster that comes in such a cute package has the power to terminate or alter franchisee residents at will. And when he tires of seeing them, they are cast out into the corn patch. Anthony can even read minds. He has private eyes that can see and P.O.S. systems that look inside.

In this story, one of the remaining franchisees gets low on his money bottle, on his birthday no less. He realizes things must change. So he creates an opportunity for collective action...

Its a Good Life, Complete 25min version, 1961

If by some strange chance you, a franchisee wannabee, should come across Anthony, you had best think only good thoughts. Anything less than that is handled at your own risk, because if you do meet him, you can be sure of one thing: you have entered the Franchise Zone.
