Jack in the Box Closes 40 Company Units
Jack in the Box noted this morning that they are closing 40 company units in the Southeast and in Texas.The company did not refranchise those units, noting the closings would make larger scale, multi-unit refranchsing easier, with underperforming units gone. Our quick analysis shows with 20 closings in the southeast (TN, NC, SC) the 94 stores there will be reduced in number and could make it more difficult to operate there. But those likely will be the next refranchise markets. www.restfinance.com
