Nation's Largest Car Dealer Closing

The Bill Heard Chevrolet dealership, one of the nation's largest car franchises, has shut down. This is during a time in which there is national shortage of car buyers doubled with the difficulty of obtaining loans.

Paul Baker, executive manager of the dealership explained that the financial situation was bad.

"It's a shame," Baker said, adding that he thought the era of gigantic dealerships is over. ..  He said he doubted the operation would operate under new ownership. "Nobody has the guts to have a big dealership anymore," he said.
