IslandTime Treasures Expands to Hawaii

Much like Build-a-Bear Workshop® - IslandTime Treasures provides a truly unforgettable experience with a unique and entertaining hands-on sand crafting experience for children and parents alike.

(Ellenton, FL) January 21, 2013- IslandTime Treasures is kicking the New Year into high-gear by expanding throughout Hawaii with their new Regional Developer Brandon Hughes of Honolulu. Hughes is developing five mobile locations, and dozens of retail cart or kiosk locations throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

As a seasoned longtime franchisee and Marketing Advisory Council member of Cartridge World®, Hughes immediately saw the growth potential of IslandTime Treasures and is currently testing cart locations in high-profile attractions in Hawaii.

“We saw the opportunity and made the decision to acquire the rights to the Hawaiian market before anyone else had the chance. A few weeks ago, I attended training in Florida and was blown away by the customer interest and engagement with the experience and the products. I can’t think of any other brand that has the attraction from customers that IslandTime Treasures does. We only have five mobile locations available in Hawaii and they will go fast. Especially, after they see our new cart locations in operation. In addition to the mobile units, we have dozens of carts and kiosks available to be developed in resorts, malls, and attractions throughout the islands.” said Hughes.

“We are extremely excited to have a high-caliber developer such as Brandon join our system. It is testament to the strength and potential of our brand, and we are extremely confident that Brandon’s successful franchising track record, experience and abilities will help provide our unique experience to everyone living or visiting Hawaii.” said Lonnie Helgerson, Brand President of IslandTime Treasures.

IslandTime Treasures hits a sweet-spot for potential business owners, as it provides an extremely unique product experience that guests rave about, operates part-time and mostly on weekends, is home based, and is a relatively low initial investment.

IslandTime Treasures affordable ($10 - $40 per item average) patent pending sand impression crafting experience provides the ability for a guest to build their own treasure in three short steps. Step 1: The guest chooses a treasure form in a variety of shapes. Step 2: The guest decorates the sand impression with Island Bling, including shells, sea glass, rocks, or tons of other cool items. Step 3: Proprietary Island Mud plaster is poured into the form, and 15 minutes later after some detailing, the project is done and ready to go!

The IslandTime Treasures franchise opportunity is available as a mobile unit, retail cart or kiosk, and regional development depending on business needs and goals. Franchise investment levels start at an affordable $15,900 and include a comprehensive startup kit that includes everything a new owner needs to begin scheduling events and making money.

Mobile unit owners provide the IslandTime Treasures unique product experience for birthday parties, events, fairs and festivals, school and church fundraisers, plus many other venues. Mobile unit owners receive a minimum protected territory of 200,000 in population and can also grow sales in their territory through the ownership of additional retail carts and kiosk units.

For resorts, waterparks, family entertainment centers, attractions, aquariums, theme parks, zoos, malls, cruise lines, and other public venues, the IslandTime Treasures retail carts or fixed kiosks are "kid magnets" and can provide excellent incremental property income. IslandTime Treasures carts and kiosks can be operated part-time or year-round, depending on the venue requirements. Cart and kiosk locations do not receive a protected territory and are restricted to doing retail business at the installed location.

Regional Development investment levels start at an affordable $39,750 for 10 units and their primary function is to assist the home office with franchise expansion and support.
