I agree, we need Federal law

I agree, we need Federal law as a minimum base, with states having the authority to pass and implement stricter policy. However, the issue is to organize franchisees in mass to push for this policy, especially publicly. While the SEC highly regulates investments in securities, where your risk is your investment, the FTC has almost no regulating authority over franchises, where the investment risk is everything you own. A Win for the little guy

These kind of cases are the reason there needs to be a FEDERAL uniform franchisee bill of rights with standardized protections for individuals across the entire country, not just in a few select states.
