RE: SB610 Support Small Business Owners Need Fair Franchise Rules
Dear Honorable Governor Jerry Brown,
When pulling up to a gas station or stopping for a quick bite at a fast food restaurant, most people probably think they are customers of a major corporation, but usually that is not the case. In all likelihood, you are patronizing a locally-owned small business: a franchise, probably owned and operated by a local family who donates to the PTA, attends the same church as you do, is active in the local chamber, or sponsors a little league team. In other words, these businesses are part of the bedrock of our communities and our state and local economy. But, like the franchises that I own, they are under threat.
